About Me

If I HAD to write an autobiographical blurb and link it to my current travel mission, this is what I’d say:

My three siblings and I were born in Sydney, Australia, before spending 10 years in Western Canada and going on to finish high school in Hervey Bay, Queensland. I then indulged my love of the ocean as a surf lifesaver at Coogee Beach while getting a degree in Petroleum Engineering at UNSW.
A graduate job sent me to Perth, but not before I went on my first extended trip – 5 months through South America. After leaving Perth’s sunshine for Houston’s hotter sunshine, 6 years of the corporate life did nothing but fuel my desire for travel.
A slump in the job market (I was happily laid-off in 2016 after 2015 saw the oil price plummet) provided the perfect opportunity to accelerate my plans and take off on my current global adventure.

LateNightsMissedFlights is my way of keeping friends and family around the world up to date. The comments sections are always open and really do welcome everybody and anybody’s feedback, reactions and destination suggestions!

Also, I’m on the gram (is that what the kids say these days?):
